We don't choose who we fall in love with, and that's the beauty of life. We never know who we might meet that will come into our lives and change us forever. Celebrities often find themselves in love with people from all different walks of life, whether that be different backgrounds or large age gaps. The world loves when two celebrities get together. Celebrity couples to America are like hot dogs on the fourth of July: just fireworks. Nick Jonas and Priyanka Chopra were no exception.
The two stars came from two different worlds yet somehow ended up one of the world's favorite young celebrity couples. Nick grew up as a child rockstar that most of the world knows as The Jonas Brothers. Chopra, on the other hand, like most people, didn't grow up the same. She spent the beginning of her childhood growing up in India before coming to America for a few years of high school. She got her foot in the door to stardom one day from her little brother. Chopra went on to win Miss India, followed by taking the Miss World crown as well. From there, the doors to the opportunity in the entertainment world would be opened.
Chopra's unique differences would eventually lead to her crossover from the Indian film market to the American market, where she first gained recognition by portraying a range of characters in Indian films before going on to land a starring role in the hit thriller series "Quantico." Being on the Hollywood scene, Chopra believed that her life had prepared her for the American film and tv industry and beyond.

So how did Nick Jonas and Priyanka Chopra come to meet even though they were born worlds apart? It's said it all started with a text. "It was Nick who sent the first message," Chopra recalled. Nick Jonas reached out to his future wife's co-star, Graham Rogers, before eventually reaching out to Chopra herself on Twitter:
"I'm hearing from a few mutual friends that we should meet," Jonas messaged.
That conversation would go on to spark an ongoing text thread between the two stars before they would eventually meet in person in 2017. "You're real; where have you been all my life?" Jonas asked that night.
The couple would officially begin to date in 2017 before getting engaged in July of 2018. The rockstar gentleman would wait until the day after Priyanka's birthday to propose in Crete, Greece. "I got down on one knee, again, and I said: 'Will you make me the happiest man in the world and marry me?'" Jonas said.
Jonas had shut down Tiffany & Co before popping the big question, shutting down the store, and celebrating with his brothers in London. Organizing the wedding events of a lifetime, Priyanka and Nick said their 2018 wedding was nothing short of a real fairytale. "It was such an incredible coming-together of two really ancient cultures and religions," Chopra recalled.
The famous couple has been happy since their 2018 nuptials, giving the world a show on their Instagrams with their sweet posts. Busy with work and life, the couple has said they are working towards their future. Vogue reported that the couple will still maintain their normal careers in entertainment but will also focus on philanthropy.

Overwhelmed by the number of people watching her every move, Chopra said that she is trying to protect herself more by withdrawing a bit from social media as a "professional hazard." Speaking with Vanity Fair in January 2022, Chopra explained:
"It's a very vulnerable feeling, actually, that if I post a picture, everything that's behind me in that picture is going to be zoomed in on, and people are going to speculate."
She added:
"It takes a part of your soul, constantly trying to make sure that you say the right thing, do the right thing, dress the right way, not make a mistake, not trip because the whole world is going to watch."
Her husband understands her pain and anxiety, "She can come across so regal and refined, which she certainly is, but she's also got this carefree joy about her and she just exudes it," Jonas said. He added, "We both know that the public life is something that comes with what we do. but we've set real boundaries around our personal lives, our privacy, and worked really hard to create that little safe haven for ourselves with our friends and family."
When it comes to family, Chopra and Jonas are both open to expanding theirs by having children of their own. "They're a big part of our desire for the future," Chopra said. "By God's grace, when it happens, it happens." Knowing their lives would have to slow down to raise a child, Chopra admitted that she would be "OK with that."
