Apr 19, 2019 by apost team

Darius Hinkle was in full panic-mode when his daughter recently choked on a penny she swallowed while playing. The only thought in the mind of Darius was to get his daughter to a local hospital as soon as possible.

Darius drove as fast as 100 miles per hour while trying to get his daughter to the hospital. A cop turned their lights on behind him but Darius continued to drive. Darius said later he refused to stop because he knew every second counted in the race to save his daughter's life.

He went on to say he could never let anything happen to her.

Once at the hospital, Darius leaped from the car with his daughter in his arms and ran into the hospital. Not long after he handed his baby girl to hospital workers, he was approached by a group of policemen.

Both Darius and the mother of his child, Donecia, explained to officers he was speeding because their infant daughter was choking.

However, their concern seemed only with the fact he was speeding. Darius was charged with a number of traffic violations as a result of the incident. To make matters worse, his driver's license was invalid.

Donecia went to the city jail later to bond Darius out of jail.

She was surprised to learn someone had already paid the money necessary to secure his freedom.

In fact, as Donecia approached the window where the appropriate clerk was waiting, she heard the voice of a woman who said she was there to make Darius' bond. However, the voice was unfamiliar to Donecia.

Darius and Donecia soon learned the woman who was paying to free Darius from jail was a nurse who worked at Touchette Regional Hospital where they drove their daughter. The nurse and other nurses at the hospital chipped in to pay Darius' bond after learning he had been arrested for making sure his daughter made it to the hospital in time to save her life.
