An elementary student in Tennessee went to school one day with a logo design on paper attached to his T-Shirt. The other children teased him about it. Thankfully, his story did have a happy ending.

His teacher Laura Snyder described the conversation she had with the boy who wanted to wear a University of Tennessee T-Shirt for National College Colors Day. The boy relented about the fact that he didn't have an official shirt to wear on the special occasion at his school.

"We discussed that he could wear an orange shirt to show his spirit. He told me every day leading up to it that he had an orange shirt that he was going to wear," Snyder wrote on Facebook.

The boy couldn't wait to show Laura his orange shirt when the day finally arrived. He had attached a homemade University of Tennessee logo to his shirt on a piece of paper. But then something sad occurred. "Some girls at the lunch table next to his (who didn't even participate in college colors day) had made fun of his sign that he had attached to his shirt. He was DEVASTATED," Synder wrote.

In response to this, the teacher made a plea on Facebook for people to donate a special T-Shirt for the boy to wear. The post went viral to the point where it reached the attention of the University of Tennessee. The officials at the university offered to send a gift to the boy and his peers at the elementary school. They sent a care package filled with official apparel that bore university logos. But the best was yet to come ...

The University of Tennessee was inspired to commemorate the event by creating a T-Shirt to honor the young boy who showed so much love for the school. They created an official University of Tennessee T-Shirt that bore the design that the young boy had created.

Laura told the boy the news about the new shirt that the University was making. The boy couldn't believe it, and soon a big smile appeared on his face. "I could tell his confidence grew today!" Synder wrote in an update to her post.

It was also reported by ABC News that the proceeds from the sale of the t-shirt will go to a national non-profit that works towards getting rid of all bullying. The shirt was so popular that the website crashed from people trying to purchase it! It is such a happy ending for the little boy who faced cruel teasing and bullying.
