Everyone knows the hit musical Grease. Who hasn’t fallen in love with Danny Zuko or Sandy Olsson? We walk around singing the hits over and over. We all dream about participating in that last dance scene to “You’re The One That I Want.” So when John Travolta, 64, and Olivia Newton-John, 69, met up on Wednesday night for the 40th anniversary screening, we were all thrilled to see what would transpire on the red carpet.

The event was held at the beautiful Beverly Hills’ Samuel Goldwyn Theater. Olivia and John were also joined by their Grease co-stars while walking the red carpet. Grease became a hit on the big screen in the summer of 1978, 40 years ago. It was a hit then and still remains a hit as of today. Young or old, Grease tugs at our heartstrings and delights our musical side.

Fans and friends were blessed to see the pair sharing a friendly kiss together and even showing off some of their signature dance moves. It was great to see the chemistry was still there between “Danny” and “Sandy.”

Olivia hasn’t lost her beauty and grace! She was as gorgeous as ever in her red carpet look. She wore a pretty satin camisole under a pale pink blazer. The look was paired with cream-colored straight-leg trousers.

The look was completed with her beautiful platform slip-on shoes. She is still just as pretty as ever.

John wore a classic black blazer and sweater. He opted for a monochrome shirt and a pair of indigo jeans. He was as handsome as ever.

We all know how popular Grease was and still is. In 1978 it was the highest grossing movie and is still one of the highest grossing musical films ever. The soundtrack itself has sold more than 28 million copies all over the world. Everyone knows a song or two from the soundtrack.

Grease was directed by Randal Kleiser and produced by the late Australian producer Robert Stigwood.

Randal joined the cast of the hit musical for the screening that was held at the Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences. Berry Pearl, 68, and Didi Conn, 67, also attended the 40th screening.
