Adorable Pooch Goes To Sleep On Her Back Like She's Been 'Switched Off'

Paningning, a Shih Tzu from the Philippines, became an internet celebrity in 2019 for her very odd sleeping position. While most dogs curl up on their sides or sleep flat-out on their stomachs, Paningning likes to sleep on her back like a human.

All puppies are adorable, but some are more adorable than others. They are innocent and playful even when you do not want to play. The problem is that they will only be puppies for a short while, less than a year, and then they grow up to be big dogs.

Of all the puppies in the world, one puppy is making heads turn on Instagram. The puppy will make you laugh and adore her at the same time, and if you love dogs, you will instantly fall in love with her.

The puppy’s name is Paningning, a Shih Tzu, born in 2019. Paningning was born in a litter of other puppies in the Philippines whose human is Janess Cua. All of the puppies grew up healthy, and their mother, Baobei, fed them well.

Paningning is special in the way she sleeps. She first appeared online on the Facebook page Dog Lovers Philippines and everyone loved her.

Since appearing on Facebook, everyone loved the way she lies down when she feels sleepy.

Unlike other dogs, she lies on her back with her rear legs resting on the floor and her front legs wagging in the air, and she appears as if she is dead or like a toy dog lying on the floor.

Her sleeping style made Facebook users fall in love with her as the post garnered thousands of likes.

From the popularity of Paningning on Facebook, Janess created an Instagram page for Paningning and the dog got so popular. The Instagram account now has more than 136,000 followers.

People love her. Paningning is not a puppy anymore, but surprisingly, she still sleeps on her back, and it is so adorable. Whenever she feels sleepy, she lies down like a normal dog and then rolls to her back and she will be like that the entire time.

The sleeping style wasn’t a puppy behavior as she has continued with her sleeping style every day as seen on her Instagram page. This seems to be her resting position – she seems to feel comfortable in that position.

The same way you would feel comfortable sleeping on your back, some dogs feel comfortable doing it too. Some, like Paningning, enjoy sleeping on their backs a tad too much.

Janess has continued to post photos and videos of Paningning and other dogs as they sleep. In the videos, she appears to be a doll lying on the floor next to dogs.

She is unbothered by the activities of the other dogs while she sleeps, and she doesn’t even move her ears or tail to show any signs that she is not a toy. If you see her for the first time, you’d be forgiven to think she is not a dog.

On some of the photos, Paningning sleeps on her stomach, but not like other dogs. Here, her rear feet spread behind her and she pulls them closer together while her front feet also face backwards.

This sleeping style is the same as how human beings would sleep on their stomach with the arms stretched backward. In this position too, she seems unperturbed by what is going on around her.

On her Instagram posts, she has received so many comments, likes, and emojis. Most dog lovers comment with heart emojis to show love to her while others comment on how lovely and adorable she looks.

The page is not all about her sleeping in that crazy manner. There are so many other adorable photos of her wearing jackets and wrapped in a blanket and in so many other beautiful poses. You will love her when you see her.
