Adorable Pit Bull Puppy Gets Her Debut Bubble Bath In Sink

A video posted in 2016 shows us the first time Lucy the pit bull experienced her first bubble bath in the sink. She was seven weeks old.

First baths are always a memorable occasion for humans. Somewhere, your parents may even have a videotape of the first time they bathed you. However, with dogs, the moment is even more memorable. You don't know how your new pet will react to being in the water, so the reaction is a gamble.

When a seven-week-old pit bull puppy, Lucy, was brought home by her family, one of the first things they did was give her a bath in their sink. You can see the confusion on her face as the process starts. Lucy's not entirely sure why they're petting her in water, but she doesn't try to fight it.

When her owners brought Lucy home, they knew she would need a bath. She rolled around with other puppies for weeks before coming home. It's a good idea to bathe your new puppy and make sure they're nice and clean before letting them roam your house. And that's just what Lucy's new owners did. They placed her in the bathroom sink, much to her confusion, and got her clean.

Some dogs dislike the water immensely. Other animals don't mind it terribly, as long as the water isn't too hot or too cold. Some animals get a bit panicked when in the water and attempt to do the doggy paddle, effectively making a mess. With Lucy, no one knew how she would react — and her reaction was everything we wanted.

We get to see the entire bath time process from start to finish. Lucy is relatively confused, and maybe just a little bit apprehensive when she first sat in the sink. She doesn't try to jump out, however, and looks to her new owners for guidance.

When her new mom turns the water on, Lucy immediately goes from curiously confused to a little uncomfortable. The look on her face says, "I would rather you weren't doing this, but... okay?" She doesn't fight the water, and she doesn't try to move. She stays mostly still as they run the water over her, not letting out so much as a whimper.

If you look at her eyes, they tell a different story. Lucy gives the camera the very definition of puppy-dog-eyes. It's as if she is asking us when this weird event will be over. She's not distressed in any way, but she enjoys not being in the sink any longer than she has to.

As her mom lathers her in soap, she allows her to move her legs and get to her belly. Once they've rinsed the soap off from the nape of her kneck to the end of her tail, she's ready to get out. Her new owner turns the water off, much to Lucy's satisfaction, and grabs a towel. She picks Lucy up from the sink, wrapping her up and resting her on her shoulder.

Lucy gives the camera one last look that screams, 'Why did you let her do that to me? That wasn't a good time!' before the end of the video. Those puppy eyes are a real guilt trip, sometimes.

All the same, Lucy behaved well during her first bath. She didn't fuss, fight, or try to jump out of the bathtub. Knowing that it's a tossup as to whether your dog will love, hate, or simply tolerate water, Lucy's new parents must be pretty thankful.
