Adorable Moment Amiable Fox Cozies Up To Man

London resident Gary Sines was enjoying a drink in the garden of a neighborhood pub in 2019 when he had an unexpected adventure. As he sat relaxing on his chair, a friendly fox wandered into the pub's garden, climbed up on his seat and started cuddling with him.

The animal encounter happened on a Friday evening. Gary Sines was having a drink with his partner Lindsay Rolfe in the outdoor seating area of the Star Pub. Without warning, a fox entered the garden.

As he told Extra, "It let me stroke it, laid down next to me and put its paw on my leg. It sat on me like a dog would. It honestly was like having a dog sit next to you."

Sines said he loves animals and was absolutely thrilled with the fox's attention. Rolfe captured the magical moment on video. You can hear her voice breaking as she asks the fox, "Are you coming home with us?" She admits she's about to cry, and Sines looks like he's on the verge of tears. Those are clearly tears of joy. Animals exert a truly powerful emotional pull on us.

Although foxes are related to dogs, they are typically fearful of humans. It is unusual for a fox to wander into a group of humans, let alone cuddle up to one. The fox must have sensed that Sines would welcome the attention.

Customers at the pub said the fox was probably hungry. A waiter gave the fox some dog biscuits to eat. "It was surreal for me because I am a massive dog lover," Sines concluded.

"This will probably never happen again. It was a wonderful experience for me to have."

A friendly fox shares a magical moment of tenderness with a man in a London pub. The hungry fox came in for food and stayed for cuddles.
