Most people think of dogs when they think of animals who tend to be more comforting. Dogs are often trained as service animals and emotional support animals, so it is natural to think they are the species who are the best at comfort and love.

Dogs have lived with us for many centuries and have learned to understand our many emotions and moods. Many can even sense when you are having a really bad day. They will lean against you, lick and paw at you, or cuddle in your lap to offer their unique brand of comfort.

Cats, however, are often thought of as the jerks of the animal kingdom. They can be standoffish, even when they have been part of a family for years. They will push things off of countertops and have no problem watching their human have an absolute breakdown from the comfort of their window ledge.

Though cats can have a bad reputation at times that doesn’t mean that there aren’t some who are very gentle souls. Some are actually right there when their humans need them the most. That was the case in this article for sure.

Hima is a Russian Blue cat that is still in the kitten stage. She cannot bear it when she hears her owner crying or upset. It is truly amazing to see a small kitten in tune with a human’s needs.

A YouTube channel by Hardik’s Offbeat recently posted a video that is quickly gaining views and popularity. In the video, a little girl can be seen being comforted by her adorable kitten. Hima is the kitten we are so lucky to see.

The little girl had just hit her foot on a nearby chair and was crying when Hima came over to see what was the matter. Hima put her head right up on the little girl’s shoulder as she nudged her. She also extended her paw as she meowed at her.

From there, Hima decided to climb onto the chest of the little girl. She stayed there to keep her company while she cried. This was such a sweet video! We are glad she has such a loving cat to take care of her. Check out the video for yourself below:
