Adorable Great Dane Pup Cruelly Surrendered To Kill Shelter; Cries Himself To Sleep

Aug 09, 2018 by apost team

This is a sad video story that is raw, moving and a must-see. It centers around a handsome Great Dane named Gonner, abandoned to the Carson Animal Shelter after its owner could no longer care for the one-year-old, blue merle Great Dane puppy. The facility is known for being a high kill place; that means that these animals (both dogs and cats) do not have a great chance of survival.

Gonner used to be a happy canine, active and free, but these days, the poor pup can be seen sitting dejectedly in his cage.

He needed a forever home and someone to love him and treat him with the compassion and respect that every animal deserves. Time was not on his side or other animals who find themselves in these heartbreaking situations.

The kind Los Angeles County Animal Shelter in Carson sprang into action to get the word out about the beautiful Great Dane. They wanted folks to pass the word around to get Gonner adopted as fast as possible.

According to the shelter, the dog was surrendered to the kill shelter because it appeared to be unfriendly. The canine is wearing a collar over its face, but he's so happy to be given a cookie.

The dog needed lots of love and a person with experience to help Gonner get the proper training he needs. The neutered male had been at the shelter since April 10, 2017.

This must-see video of beautiful Gonner will tear at your heartstrings. Fortunately, you can watch it without too heavy a heart, as Gonner has already been adopted!

Spread the word to remind people how hard it is for animals to live in shelters. Are you a shopper, or an adopter?
