Adorable Baby Elephant Gets Comforted With Cuddles

Youtube user Jono Du Preez uploaded an adorable video in 2015 of himself and an unlikely cuddle partner—a baby elephant at a sanctuary in Thailand. It turns out that baby elephants love to cuddle just as much as human babies do.

Jono sits by the little elephant in his video and the little creature immediately checks him out and bowls him right over, taking his hat on the way. Even though it's a baby, it's as big as a full-grown man and probably much heavier. Jono is all smiles as they get to know one another and he gives the elephant some scratches like meeting an eager Great Dane.

As the video progresses the two new friends end up in a variety of poses and playful positions. It's a moment of pure bliss for the excited elephant who runs around and flails his trunk around in joy. The moment is even more happy because Jono notes in the video description that the little baby was probably in the sanctuary because of a sad past:

"I highly recommend this place because they are passionate about taking good care of elephants and their young. Many of the elephants were taken away from people who misused and abused the elephants."

The video ends when the little baby starts head-butting Jono and he replies saying, "Do you know how strong you are?" to giggles from the people surrounding them. It's a wonderful moment between human and wild animal, connecting them with the bond of comfort and cuddles.
