Adele has been a high-regarded singer since her debut album, "19," released back in 2008. The British singer became an international superstar for her singing and songwriting. An award-winning vocalist, Adele has been topping the charts since her popular song "Chasing Pavements" hit the Billboard Hot 100 chart back in 2009. Since then, Adele has given us timeless hits, such as "Hello," "Rolling in the Deep," "Someone Like You," "Skyfall" and "Rumor Has It," among many others. What's more, Adele has won an impressive 18 Grammys, 40 Billboard Music Awards, an Oscar and a Golden Globe.

Born on May 5, 1988, with the full name Adele Laurie Blue Adkins, the musical sensation grew up in the Tottenham district of London with her mother, Penny Adkins. Penny raised Adele as a single mother after Adele's father, Marc Evans, left the family when Adele was just two years old. Just a couple of years later, Adele started singing when she was just 4 years old. Eventually, Adele's mother found work as an adult-learning activities organizer and furniture maker, so the mother and daughter duo relocated to Brighton, a city stretching along the southern coast of England.

Eventually, Adele and her mother moved back to London in 1999, where they first settled in Brixton and then moved again to West Norwood. Adele ended up attending a performing arts school, the BRIT School for Performing Arts & Technology in Croydon, and she graduated in May 2006. It's no surprise that she rose to stardom and has grown to become one of the most well-known and most loved singers throughout the world.

Shortly after posting her songs online, one of the demos was posted by a friend to Myspace, prompting Adele to receive a call from XL Recordings' Richard Russell that secured her a meeting with music producers. Apparently, she didn't know if the meeting was legitimate, as she was only aware of the record label Virgin Records, so she took a friend along. In any case, she signed with the label and her professional career began. Soon after, she was introduced to Jonathan Dickins, who would become her manager and continues to be to this day.

Adele's albums are “19,” released in 2008, “21,” which came out in 2011, “25,” released in 2015, and most recently “30,” which came out in 2021. Through her music, she has wooed the hearts of millions of fans. Not only with her music but through her beauty and personality as well. She has appeared in countless television appearances, late-night shows and even exclusive sit-down interviews. She has also been extremely open and honest with the world about her personal and professional issues.

In October of 2021, in an interview with Vogue, Adele talked about her new album. “It’s sensitive for me, this record, just in how much I love it,” she said. “I always say that '21' doesn’t belong to me anymore. Everyone else took it into their hearts so much. I’m not letting go of this one. This is my album. I want to share myself with everyone, but I don’t think I’ll ever let this one go.”

Although her new album “30” has been a top charting album, fans still love Adele for a performance done years ago.
