Award-winning vocalist Adele has been topping the charts since her popular song "Chasing Pavements" hit the Billboard Hot 100 chart back in 2009. Since then, Adele has given us timeless hits, such as "Hello," "Rolling in the Deep," "Someone Like You," "Skyfall," and "Rumor Has It," among many others.

Instead of making music, Adele has focused on her family and her own health in the last few years. The singer decided to take a huge leap forward regarding her health and lost almost 100 pounds. Motivated to get healthy so that she could be a better mother to her son, Adele's weight loss journey is one that has seemed to make the singer extremely happy, healthy, and confident.

Not only has she touted the benefits of getting fit, but she's also been outspoken on other practices that have helped her to feel grounded and grow as a person. In 2020, she was vocal about author Glennon Doyle's book "Untamed: Stop Pleasing, Start Living" and how it helped her to live a better and more authentic life.

With the past year feeling like a whole new era for Adele, it only makes sense that her new look is now accompanied by new music. The singer has not released a new song since 2016, so the singer's new single, "Easy On Me," has fans excited.

Adele also performed at a very special primetime television concert on November 14, 2021 at LA, which was an exciting event for fans for more than one reason. Not only did Adele give an incredible show that was attended by her son and give insight into her life, but she also helped an incredibly lucky couple get engaged in the most special way!

In the television special "Adele One Night Only," Adele performed some new and unheard songs from her new studio album 30, while also performing older hits from her previous albums. Her performances were interspersed with interviews with Oprah Winfrey, which gave fans a lot of insight into the singer's life. Arguably, however, the highlight of the night was the surprise proposal that allowed one very lucky couple to have one fo the most significant days in their lives.

TODAY reported that during her performance, Adele asked the audience to be completely quiet as one of her fans, Quentin, led his girlfriend, Ashley, onto the stage wearing a blindfold. When the blindfold was removed, Ashley was stunned to find herself on stage in front of a crowd and to see Quentin on his knees. Adele was not in view of the crowd or Ashley at the time.

The proposal was truly heartfelt and warm, and Quentin was visibly emotional as he said, "I want to thank you for being so patient with me … I am extremely proud of you and I mean every day, you blow my mind. There’s absolutely nothing that you cannot do, and I just know that you’re going to be an amazing mother to our kids one day, and I love you. I love you, I love you, I love you, and I will continue to love you forever.”

Just as Quentin popped the question, the opening chords of Adele’s 2008 song “Make You Feel My Love” began playing, and Adele emerged on stage to perform the song for the newly engaged couple.

While being engaged was an incredible event in itself, Ashley and Quentin were then invited to enjoy the show from the front row along with seatmates that included Lizzo and Melissa McCarthy according to TODAY. Ashley was even handed a glass of champagne by Melissa McCarthy!

After the event, Adele joked, "Thank God she said yes because I didn’t know who I was going to sing this song to next, you or him!" Suffice to say, this is a day that the couple will remember and celebrate together for the rest of their lives.

Celebrity guests at the concert included Lizzo, Leonardo DiCaprio, Melissa McCarthy, Oprah Winfrey, Gayle King and more. But despite having a who's who of celebs in the audience, Adele was most interested in someone not famous who was there — her son. She said onstage:

"This is the first time that my son has ever seen me perform. And I got really dressed up. I'm not gonna cry. Anyway it's too soon to cry and I don't want someone to come fix me face."

The singer also said,

"It's the absolute honor of my life, baby, to have you here tonight. And you look so beautiful and so handsome and smart."

She also mentioned him being there on Twitter, where she wrote:

"It was also the first time my son saw me perform and I've never been so nervous in my life."

The singer was no doubt also nervous because her entire new album is dedicated to him. In her Vogue interview, she revealed that she hopes that "30" will be a way of explaining things to Angelo one day, as something he can listen to when he's older.
