Adele is one of the greatest voices in the music industry today. She has been topping the charts since her popular song "Chasing Pavements" hit the Billboard Hot 100 chart back in 2009. Since then, Adele has given us timeless hits, such as "Hello," "Rolling in the Deep," "Someone Like You," "All I Ask," and "Rumor Has It," among many others.

Last November 2021, Adele released her most recent album, "30," her fourth studio album to date. Although it took a bit longer to release than her previous works, the singer had a lot of things to do during that period.

Instead of making music, Adele has focused on her family and her own health in the last few years. The singer decided to take a huge leap forward regarding her health and lost almost 100 pounds. Ushering her new and more confident self is her new era that came in the form of her new album, "30." As part of her unending love for her fans, Adele embarked on her Las Vegas Residency titled "Weekends With Adele" at The Colosseum at The Caesars Palace in Sin City.

On some days when she is not performing in Las Vegas, Adele spends time with her child, whom she co-parents with her ex-husband James Konecki. Since separating from him, Adele has taken comfort from her friends, especially with James Corden.

That is why when Corden's Emmy award-winning show and segment "Carpool Karaoke" from "The Late Late Show With James Corden" bowed out on television for the last time, Adele became the finale episode's very special guest.

Apart from the music-filled episode, Corden and Adele shared an emotional retrospection on their beautiful years of friendship, even revealing which song was partly inspired by her friendship with the beloved host.

Adele's final "Carpool Karaoke" episode with Corden was not the first time that she took the host to work and jammed on her chart-topping records.

In January 2016, the megastar appeared on "Carpool Karaoke." The video on YouTube has well over 261 million views and over 136,000 comments. Throughout the popular video, fans get to see the fun dynamic between the singer and the late-night host. Adele gave fans quite the show as she sang some of her iconic songs. From "Hello" to "Someone Like You" and "Rolling in the Deep," fans were left in awe of her wide range of vocals.

Fans are begging for the dynamic duo to reunite for another "Carpool Karaoke" segment. One fan said she watches the video once a month, hoping that there will soon be another video of the two.

Alas, after seven years and hundreds of fan requests, Adele graced the iconic carpool again – sending his dear friend a proper send-off as he culminates his 8-year stint as a late-night show host.

The duo started the ride with an obvious Adele classic hit, "Rolling in the Deep," a song they also sang on the first carpool ride. Apart from this, they also sang "Hometown Glory," "Love is a Game," and even Barbra Streisand's "Don't Rain on My Parade."

Before singing the classic show tune, Corden asked the British songstress how she plans to win a Tony Award – the only remaining entertainment trophy she needs to achieve EGOT status. She already has an Emmy Award, a Grammy Award, and an Oscar Award.

"I don't think I've ever said how much I fucking hate musicals. I just don't need to hear everything in fucking song all the time. I also think the EGO suits me better," she cheekily admitted.

As the two took turns singing their favorite song, Corden picked "I Drink Wine," one of the many tracks on Adele's Grammy-winning album, "30." The song holds a special place in their hearts, as it was revealed by Adele that it was inspired by a conversation they had back then.

The singer claimed that the song was some of the "best writing she has ever done."

"It was the first year that I felt like I had to hold myself accountable for just being an adult," she emotionally recalled. "The year before, I left Simon [Konecki] and stuff like that. But you and Jules and the kids were so integral in looking after me."

Konecki and Adele split in 2021, and they have been co-parenting their kid Angelo since then. She has been in a relationship with NBA agent Rich Paul

The conversation that inspired "I Drink Wine" took place when the two friends were heading home from a vacation. According to Corden, their conversation was "everything" that he was feeling that day."

"I Drink Wine" reached No. 14 on the US Billboard Hot 100 charts and No. 4 on the UK Singles chart. It has been certified Gold both in the United States and in the United Kingdom.

"I was floored by how you'd managed to take everything that I was feeling about myself and life and just put it in a verse," he admitted.

As soon as they arrived at the CBS lot, Adele and Corden were in tears.

"You're my best friend in the whole world," Adele confessed to Corden as they hugged.

"I'm going to miss you so much."
