According to Highsnobiety, Sandler's age-long regular looks proved to be recognized when he topped celebrity fashion Google searches in 2021 and 2022. Fans are not the only ones who have noticed Sandler's laid-back looks. In fact, he had his pal and fellow star Jennifer Aniston stunned during the premiere of their movie "Murder Mystery 2." 

Dressed in "Sandlercore," the 56-year-old actor wore a very laid-back getup at the premiere of his newest movie. Rocking only a New York Knicks gray hoodie, a pair of chino trousers and bright blue sneakers, Sandler seemed to be very much in character with his attire at the rather formal gathering. 

In fact, wearing everyday clothes during formal occasions has become Sandler's trademark throughout the years. In 2014, for the "Blended" movie premiere, while his wife looked stunning in a black dress, Sandler opted for a blue windbreaker and an orange top. Aniston, in an interview with Entertainment Tonight during the premiere, was horrified when she saw Sandler in a sweatshirt. "What the hell are you doing?!" Aniston screamed as she jokingly avoided Sandler. "I'm not standing next to him. Sweatpants." Sandler screamed back that Aniston texted him to wear his sweatshirt, but it seemed she actually said, "Please, don't wear your sweatshirt."

Sandler has opened up about his style choice while noting the attention he got for it. Per Esquire, the actor revealed that he wanted to be accepted for how he dressed. 

"It took a while. I have been working that angle for years. For a while, I was like, 'Please accept me and the way I dress.' And 30 years later, they finally came around," he shared.

Speaking on how he makes his choice, Sandler noted he often went for XXL outfits, never relying on labels. He noted that he often went for "anything that feels soft." 

Once again, Sandler did not disappoint when the paparazzi snapped him and Chalamet playing pickup basketball in Soho, New York City, on Jul. 20, 2023. Seeing the duo's unlikely friendship is like seeing Sandler's fashion style during formal events. 

For Chalamet's fans, it was quite surprising to see him playing basketball with people probably twice his weight, especially someone as active and sports-minded as Sandler. Chalamet seemed unbothered with his long sweeping hair, gray shirt, blue sports shorts, and mint green basketball shoes. 

Sandler, on the other hand, wore something appropriate to the occasion, but fans can't help but chuckle at Sandler's statement shirt. He wore a gray oversized shirt that stated "Let Me Ask My Wife" in dark letters. 

One fan even pointed out how he loved seeing Sandler in his element while also having a "bib of concentrated sweat" on his neck down to his tummy but being "dry everywhere." 

Sandler's shirt got everyone laughing, especially because of his knack for dad jokes and seemingly being very devoted to his wife, Jackie Sandler.
