Abused Dog Runs Away From Cruel & Neglective Owner And Goes To Only Woman Who Ever Treated Him Kindly

After receiving years of harsh abuse from a cruel owner, Biscuit is receiving an ending that’s happy. Several years ago, Biscuit began showing up on the doorstep of Kaylie Stogsdill’s home in Coyle, Oklahoma.

According to Kaylie during an interview with KFOR News, Biscuit would arrive at her home periodically, and she would give him food.

She could see that the poor dog was nothing but skin and bones and, each time he arrived at her doorstep, his condition was worse. These facts drove Kaylie to file a report with the police on Biscuit’s owners. Then, immediately, Biscuit stopped making his usual visits.

Two years passed before Kaylie would receive another visit, but it was nothing like she would ever expect.

Kaylie stated she believed the dog might have been re-homed and she thought that, perhaps, the situation might have been fixed.

Then, out of nowhere, she had a visit from a dog on her doorstep. She could barely recognize the creature because it had suffered from such severe neglect.

Soon she realized that this creature was Biscuit, Kaylie further stated during her interview. Her recollections continued by saying it was difficult to tell it was him because he had lost a considerable amount of weight.

She immediately brought the dog into her home and made a phone call to the police. According to court documents, Biscuit was emaciated, his bones were protruding, and his skin was sagging from his skull. There was no muscle or fat on his body, and his skin was full of debris and infection.

Biscuit was nearing death. As soon as he made his escape from his abusive owners, Biscuit took an immediate leap of faith—that Kaylie would, after all of these years, be there to save him.

When Major Kelly Benwart of Langston Police Department heard this story, Biscuit’s return to Kaylie made perfect sense

Kelly indicated that, when animals or individuals feel safe, they’re going to migrate toward those feelings of being taken care of and safety.

Kaylie is now the full-time caregiver of Biscuit and working toward getting him back to a weight that’s healthy.

She believes that she was meant to discover this dog and that their paths were supposed to cross.
