Abducted Woman In Georgia Calls 911 And She And Dispatcher Outsmart Her Attacker

When a 27-year-old man kidnapped a woman and took her to a car park to sexually assault her at 4 am in the morning back in 2015, the attacker forced her to call her boyfriend so he could overhear the horrific incident.

The quick-thinking victim managed to call 911 instead and the perceptive operator Deonte Smith played along, while secretly sending emergency services, saving the woman's life.

Bizarre. Disturbing. Just plain horrible. Deonte says that he still starts crying if he has to listen to the recording of the phone call.

After everything was said and done, Deonte refused to call himself a hero, saying "I was just doing my job," to various news reporters including the Journal News. He thanked the victim for her quick thinking and untold bravery.

The attacker, Robert Giles, was arrested. He faces various charges including false imprisonment, rape, and obstruction.

Would you have been able to do the same if you were in Deonte's position? Let us know, and feel free to pass this along to your friends and family.
