A Thank You Letter To The Friend Who Never Let Me Down

I realize that I don't have it all together. There are plenty of times I just don't seem to know which way to turn. It's painfully clear that I'm the kind of person who could use some non-judgmental encouragement. That's where you come into the picture. No matter how upside-down my life seems to get, you're always there to help turn it right-side-up again.

There are times when I just don't believe in myself. I think I'm not good enough, smart enough, or strong enough to reach my goals. But you always believe in me, and that's one of the main reasons I find the strength to keep going, even during the tough times.

I understand that I can sometimes be a difficult person to love. I tend to take myself and life a bit too seriously. Rather than leave me to wallow in my insecurity, you always stay by my side and try to brighten my mood and lift my spirits. Sometimes I can be too impulsive. You've tried over and over to remind me to proceed with caution, but I still tend to get caught up in the moment and make stupid choices. When that happens, you never come down on me and criticize me. Instead, you help me pick up the pieces and get back on track.

Thanks for loving me unconditionally, even at those moments when I don't feel like I love myself. You have this amazing ability to overlook my shortcomings and always see the best in me. That optimism and positivity work wonders when it comes to boosting my confidence.

There are times when I've gotten so down in the dumps that I've tried to withdraw from everyone, including you. But you wouldn't leave me in my misery. Instead, you always let me know you were there for me, whether it was with a simple text, a card in the mail, or a phone call that came at just the right time. Thank you for sticking with me even when I dropped the ball on our friendship. You've always helped me to bounce back, even from my lowest points in life.

Having you for a best friend has taught me so many important life lessons. You've helped me to see my failures as stepping stones on the path to future success.

You have this uncanny way of seeing through any type of facade I try to hide behind. I can't fool you! You know the real me, and you love me anyway! That fact truly amazes me. Sometimes I laugh to hide my pain. This act can fool most people in my life, but not you. You've always been able to tell when I'm upset, and you know just what to say to help me feel better. I feel safe opening up and sharing my heart with you.

Before meeting you, I often felt lonely. All of that changed once I had you by my side. Your dedication to our friendship is unwavering. You've never abandoned me, and I'm confident that you never will. Even when I've done things that would drive away less loyal friends, you still managed to stick around.

That's why I'm writing this letter. I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for being the best friend a girl could ever hope to have.

I'm genuinely grateful for all you've done for me in the past, what you're doing right now, and anything you'll do for me in the days to come. It makes a world of difference for me to know that you'll always be there for me no matter what. I want you to know that you can always count on me to be there for you, too.
