A Singer On “The Voice” Captures Blake Shelton’s Attention With This Country Ballad

Anyone who has watches "The Voice" knows Blake Shelton is a hard man to impress. In case you've never watched the show before, the idea is for the judges to put together teams which they collect during "blind" auditions and these teams then compete against each other. It goes without saying that most judges favor singers who are closer to their own style of music because it's what they know best and Blake Shelton is no different.

Jordan Kirkdorffer decided to sing Brett Young's "In Case You Didn't Know" which is proving a popular choice for auditionees on singing competitions this week. Much like his fellow auditionee on "American Idol", the judges were more than impressed with his singing chops!

After hearing his audition, Adam from Maroon 5 said “Your performance was multifaceted. It was country, but there was a soul singer in there, there was a popular music voice in there. There’s very little to poke holes in because your performance was beautiful. It touched me, and I thought to myself, ‘If this voice really gets to me and really makes me feel, then I’m ready to fight for it,’ just because I love you that much.”

However, it was Blake who won Jordan onto his team. We think that was a good decision because their styles are so similar, Blake is bound to be able to support his team member and help him on his way to country music stardom!
