A Crocodile Was Seen Using a Pool Noodle to Swim Down A Canal In Florida

Florida is one of the favorite vacation spots of the United States, with countless people enjoying the water and sunshine. Victor Peres is used to seeing tourists enjoying the canal that runs near his house; however, he wasn’t expecting the visitor that went floating past recently!

Victor told the Miami Herald that he was on his balcony outside his house in Key Largo when he saw the croc. "And all of a sudden, I see this noodle and there’s a crocodile hanging off of it. I had to get my phone.”

Victor couldn’t believe his eyes. While he’s used to seeing crocodiles, he’d never seen one enjoying his time on the water with the help of a floatation device. Somehow, the crazy water animal had managed to get the pool noodle under his body and was floating along on it, making his way through the murky water.

While it’s obvious that the crocodile didn’t intend to actually use the pool noodle and that it simply got hung on him in the midst of his travels. “It was just cruising along, and I was like, ‘OK, where’s the swimmer?'" Victor said to the Miami Herald. Adding jokingly, “What happened to the guy with the noodle?" 

Some people are asking if this is what crocodiles do when they need a rest from their usual swimming. Either way, we’re sure that it did provide this lazy guy with a chance to take a break as he made his way through the water of his Florida home.

Not only did Victor catch some spectacular pictures of the event, but there are also videos that show this water giant enjoying the human flotation device.

Victor is the owner of a business called Reef Tropical Cleaning and told the Miami Herald that he is used to seeing crocodiles in the water; however, he isn’t used to seeing one that is using a pool noodle during their travels.

While Victor has a lot of experience working around crocodiles, he told the publication that there is no way that he would attempt to rescue the pool noodle; instead, he’s going to just let the crocodile enjoy it for as long as he wants!
