98-Year-Old Grandma Interrupts Country Superstar’s Concert, Audience Amazed When She Starts Playing

It's Nashville's number one attraction, and star Josh Turner was having a blast on stage at the Grand Ole Opry last February. The country music standout from Hannah, South Carolina, is a multi-platinum MCA Nashville recording artist, and his deep rich voice and handsome looks had the audience glued to their seats.

What he did next was unusual but fascinating to witness; Turner announced that his grandmother-in-law, 98, was his feature act. That's right; she's almost 100-years-young, and Lois Cunningham had longed for the day she might walk on to the stage of the Grand Ole Opry and perform.

That's exactly what the adorable, neatly coiffed white-haired woman did.

Lois took a seat at the Yamaha piano and got ready to show off some mad keyboard skills. Dressed in a magenta-colored sweater and black pants, the elegant woman took on the religious classic "How Great Thou Art." Many churchgoers are quite familiar with the tune because it comes in second to famous songs like number one's "Amazing Grace." She did not appear nervous and knew the hit song quite well.

Lois did not sing, but she played her heart out perfectly, and the audience was blown away by her mastery of the piano. Tears welled up in some folks eyes as they watched the lovely woman at 98 not even miss a beat.

For those who enjoy the song, the lyrics are beautiful: "Thy power throughout the universe displayed."

Lois Cunningham played the entire piece, and when she finished, she sweetly waved to her cheering fans. Lois had made her debut performance at the Grand Ole Opry; it was a beautiful accomplishment. Josh Turner and his wife came out to hug Granny and assisted her from the piano bench. She blew kisses to the audience and thanked them for the amazing opportunity.

What a gorgeous video story to witness. Our elderly people bring much to the world, so don't miss it:
