The 93-year-old Hawaii resident travels six days a week to visit the grave of the love of his life. According to KGMB-TV, Florence passed away in 2013, but Ted continues to visit her six days a week.

The journey to her grave takes Ted from his apartment in Waikiki all the way to the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific. His travels force him to take three different buses to reach the final destination.

While at the cemetery, Ted tends to Florence's grave, taking special care to ensure that there are no weeds or overgrown grass. Ted tells people that making sure her gravesite is always in pristine condition is the least that he can do after all of the time Florence spent taking care of him for 72 years

When he visits her at his grave, Ted always tells Florence, "payback time."

Rain or shine, Ted arrives at the cemetery by 6:30 am. He is often the very first visitor of the day.

Ted and Florence met in Pennsylvania when they were only 16 and 14 years old. Right away, Ted knew that he was going to marry Florence. He even went home and told his dad that belief.

The two were separated for only a brief time when Ted was serving his country fighting in World War II. During that time, he kept a picture of Florence always on him. Once he finally returned from the war, the two were married and then went on to have a son. Ted worked as a teacher while Florence worked for the FBI.

Ted is such a considerate husband that he has already arranged for people to continue to bring Florence flowers even after he is gone. Ted keeps a calendar of all of his visits to his beloved Florence. Because of this, he knows that he has made the trek over 1,300 times.

“I’ll keep going as long as I can go. God will tell me when I’ve had enough.” he told KGMB-TV.

Be sure to spread this true testament of love to everyone that you know. This story is just too sweet to keep to yourself. Everyone needs to know that true love is still alive.
