County music fans everywhere are breathing a sigh of relief that John Berry has been declared cancer-free.

The 90s country music icon is best known for his hits "Your Love Amazes Me" and "I Think About it All the Time." The 59-year-old star is still one of the most respected people in the industry.

In January, Berry and his wife shared a touching video message addressed to his fans, announcing the sad news that he had been diagnosed with cancer. The cancer was discovered after Berry had an appointment with an ear/nose/throat specialist and the doctor saw something suspicious after looking down his throat.

Berry was sent in for a CAT scan to further investigate the abnormality. Unfortunately, the scan showed that Berry had tumors on both of his tonsils. The tonsils were then removed and sent for testing. The results indicated that Berry had cancer.

Luckily for Berry and his family, the cancer was treatable and came with a high cure rate. Berry did not delay his treatment, beginning chemotherapy and radiation right away.

Berry finished his chemotherapy sessions on March 28 and completed his final radiation treatment on April 4. Knowing that his loyal fans were following his journey, he was conscious about updating them about the progress of his treatment.

In June, Berry told everyone that he had just received a great report from his doctor. And his latest update shares that he is now officially free of cancer. What a cause for celebration!
