I just saw a video that touched my heart. It's about a 9-year-old kid who did something that most adults would never think to do. I'm going to tell you the story. Have a tissue handy. You may need it!

Nathan is a 9-year-old fourth grader. Like most kids his age, he loves to watch YouTube videos. But unlike most little kids, he was moved to take action when he saw a video that showed famous people giving money to homeless shelters. Nathan didn't know much about homeless people before he saw the video, but once he learned about the problem, he wanted to help. He thought about it for a while, and then he had an idea.

He told his dad he wanted to take out all the money in his savings account and buy things for people in a local homeless shelter. At first, Nathan's dad wasn't sure if that was a great idea. But when he saw how sincere Nathan was and how much Nathan wanted to do it, he took Nathan down to the bank. Nathan withdrew $150, which was his life savings. His dad, by now completely on board, matched the money with $150 of his own.

They contacted a homeless shelter to find out what the people there needed the most. Then they got in the car and went to Walmart, where they got a cart and started to fill it up. They bought many pairs of shoes and lots of food, including tasty treats like barbecue sauce. Nathan wanted to get as many things as he could with the money they had. His dad helped out by keeping track of the costs on his phone's calculator app. They ended up with a cart filled to the brim with items that would bring a smile to the people in the homeless shelter.

They drove down to the shelter and delivered the goodies. The people staying at the shelter were thrilled with the unexpected gifts. The staff members were all impressed that such a little kid had such a big heart. Nathan said he wanted to inspire other people to help out too. He said that it made him feel really good and proud of himself. His dad was super proud of him too!

That's such a sweet story. That kid is an inspiration! If you know anyone who needs a positive message today, send them this story right away.
