9-year-old Justin Kiely-May is on his way to becoming a singing sensation.

The boy from the UK was diagnosed with autism when he was three years old, according to Metro UK. Because high-pitched sounds bothered him, he often had to resort to wearing ear protectors. This makes it even more surprising that his mother one day caught him singing along to the classic Leonard Cohen hit "Hallelujah."

Justin's mother Andrea was so enamored by the surprise performance that she secretly began filming her son. The lovely song quickly went viral when Justin's uncle, Brandon Craig, posted the clip on his Twitter account.

Andrea told Metro UK that Justin heard a version of the song by Alexandra Burke and fell in love with the haunting lyrics and melody. "Justin was diagnosed with autism at three and most of his life he has struggled with music, especially high pitched songs," she explained. She added that even going to a birthday party might bother him for days afterward.

The proud mother says that Justin was born to sing. She is blown away with the supportive messages that she has received as a result of the viral tweet. Andrea said that while autism can be a challenge at times, she feels as if it has also given her son a special gift and that she would not change anything about him.
