84-Year-Old Husband Takes Makeup Lessons To Help His Wife Who Is Losing Sight

Most people's love life isn't like a fairytale. From the stress of children to money problems to infidelity, there are a million reasons that couples fall out of love. But for some very special couples, the magic lasts a lifetime.

This is certainly the case of Waterford, Ireland couple 84-year-old Des Monahan and 83-year-old Mona Monahan. Unfortunately, Mona's eyesight has been deteriorating as she's aged and she'll be completely blind at some point. Mona enjoys looking nice and having well-done makeup but was upset that she's had to give it up partially and will be completely unable to do her makeup after going blind.

He started going for makeup lessons at a local Debenhams store where a makeup artist named Rosie teaches him and gives him tips. Des has been practicing and going to Rosie's lessons for months now and he now says that he's so good at doing makeup that he could be teaching his own class! Mona said that he can do her whole look using eyeliner, lipstick, and bronzer, and said that he can now do her makeup better than she ever could.
