Is your body feeling sore and stiff all the time? This might just seem like it's one of the unfortunate effects of aging, but you're really only as young as you feel. These are eight ways you can give your body a break and feel much more youthful.

1. Malasana

Also known as the "Garland pose," this is a squatting yoga stance that can do great things for your body. With your feet spaced apart, you'll ease into a squat pose, allowing your knees to touch your elbows and your hands against one another. You'll keep this stance for no more than 20 seconds while being mindful of your breath. When it's done, repeat one more time.

2. Spins

Spinning is for more than getting dizzy. Put your arms out as far as possible and do three clockwise turns. Then, do so again in a counterclockwise motion.

3. Work your leg muscles

There are so many muscles in and around your legs that need to be worked regularly. You can stretch them on a study object with a reasonable height, such as a couch. For each foot, you want to stretch your knee, heel, and ankle on the surface.

4. Stargazes

You don't need a telescope to do this exercise, just the ability to work your neck a bit. Get down on your knees, with your toes against the floor and your hands on your side. Lower your chin onto your heart and lift it back up. Do this several times.

5. Work your head and legs

If you've ever done sit-ups, this will be easy to adapt to. You lay on your back, repeating the motions of the stargazes. Then, you lift your legs, keeping them as straight as possible. This should be done several times as well.

6. Crab pose

Also known as the "reverse table pose," this is another yoga pose that can work your muscles in all sorts of positive ways. Get into a crab pose, making sure to keep your spine straight. Your head should go back as far as possible and you should maintain a steady stance with your hands and feet.

7. Downward-facing dog pose

Another hugely popular yoga pose, this one involves starting out in a plank position. From there, you let your legs lower and curve your back while extending your head as much as you can. Keep your limbs straight while moving your bottom upward.

8. Pac-Man pose

Curling up into a ball can make for feeling all the more youthful. Get down on the floor and bring your bent knees to your chest. Roll your body forward and backward several times.

Each of these exercises can help you to relax your body and feel all the more youthful. Do you have any other exercises that you like to do? Let us know in the comments and don't forget to show this to any friend or family member who might want to feel younger.
