It seems like people are kicked off of airplanes for almost any reason compared to decades ago.

When 71-year-old Ellen Flemming was on a plane with her grandchildren, they had to see something that was heartbreaking and that would likely stay in their mind for some time.

Ellen has flown for many years on numerous airlines. She's flown to different states and to many different countries, not thinking anything about being on a plane each time she's been on one. While on an Air Canada flight, she experienced something that she had never gone through in the past. Ellen's husband and her grandchildren were on the flight with her at the time.

While Ellen was sitting in a coach seat with her family, she asked one of the attendants for something that most passengers ask for on airlines. After asking the attendant for the favor, the attendant offered a rude remark. Ellen's family had to change their flight plans.

Their dignity was diminished as well. There were also physical injuries that resulted because of the response from the attendant.

Ellen saw that there was trash inside the back of the seat of where she was sitting.

She asked the attendant to throw it away for her, which was a simple request. The attendant stood at full attention and made it clear that he was a flight attendant and that he was not responsible for throwing trash away.

He then swiped at Ellen's arm, causing the trash to be tossed everywhere, including all over Ellen and her family.

Bruises were left on Ellen's arm because the attendant swiped at her. She decided that she should calm down and try to enjoy the rest of her flight. Ellen knew that some people have bad days and that this was likely what had happened.

A few moments, later the pilot announced that the plane would be turned around because of a passenger being unruly.

Ellen and her family were removed from the plane. There was no explanation as to why they were removed. Soon after the incident, the airline made an announcement that Ellen had acted in a manner that was aggressive, kicking a member of the crew while on the flight.

Other passengers came to Ellen's defense, stating that she was not a problem at all.

What do you think about the airline's reaction? Do you think they handled the situation in the correct way? Let us know in the comments. Don't forget to share this story with your friends and family.
