A little boy from Georgia became a real-life superhero when he saved his older sister from drowning earlier this week.

It was a normal day at the family pool for siblings Aiden McCullough and Morgan Smith, residents of Brantley County, Georgia, before things took a turn for the worst. Standing by the pool, 20-year-old Morgan had a seizure and fell into the water. Speaking with reporters from CBS 47 Action News JAX, Morgan recalls seeing spots before blacking out. 7-year-old Aiden was horrified to see his beloved sister fall into the pool. Nearly overcome with shock, Aiden told reporters how he thought his sister was going to die.

Rather than succumbing to that fear, Aiden fought for his sister. Grabbing Morgan by the hair, the little boy held his sister’s head above the water as he screamed for help. Hearing Aiden’s panicked pleas, adults at the residence came to the rescue, helping get Morgan to safety.

In an interview with CNN, Morgan continued to praise her little brother, telling reporters that she would have died if not for Aiden’s quick thinking. Even more, Morgan told the news network that Aiden has never been taught how to help her, he just saw that she needed help and did what he thought was right.
