Your Thanksgiving holiday probably included eating turkey or ham and spending time with your family and friends. One 7-year-old boy decided to bring joy to some of the homeless people in Sacramento on a day he should have been eating and enjoying time at home.

Donating time, food, and material possessions during the holiday season is usually seen more than it is in the summer months. For most people, they don't like seeing others be without the love and happiness that others experience at this time of the year.

Jaskarn Johal worked with Seva on Thanksgiving day. This is a group that delivers items to the homeless population. With the recent increase in donations, there was more food and clothing to give to the homeless on Thanksgiving. Many people have donated more because of the Camp Fire that recently swept through areas of California.

Kendrick Brown was with his family to help others on Thanksgiving. They were serving people in line and making sure the homeless knew that someone cared about them. The young boy wanted to do more, so after his family helped get hamburgers, he gave them to some of the homeless on the streets.

The young boy's father has been trying to teach his children about helping others. He wants his kids to understand that there are people who don't always have a home or even food and clothes.
