7 Natural Cures That Will Get Rid Of Your Dandruff

Jun 18, 2018 by apost team

You can get dandruff at any age. The most probable time for one to develop dandruff, however, is between the ages of 20-30 years old. Dandruff can cause dry scalp, hair loss, and a negative outlook on your physical appearance and self-confidence.

Luckily, we know of seven natural ways you can use to get rid of dandruff, once and for all. Check them out below!

1. Apple Cider Vinegar

Mix equal parts water with apple cider vinegar. After you have washed your hair, apply this mixture to your damp scalp. Massage into your scalp and let it sit for a good 15 minutes before rinsing it out. The acid that is present in the vinegar will change the pH of your scalp, which in turn makes it more difficult for yeast to grow.

2. Tea Tree Oil

Add eight to ten drops of natural tea tree oil to a regular 200-ml bottle of shampoo. Wash your hair the way you normally would. Before you rinse out the shampoo, let it sit directly on your scalp for a few minutes. This lets the tea tree oil absorb long enough to give you the benefits of the oil.

3. Coconut Oil

To use coconut oil for your dandruff, warm up enough oil in a bowl to cover the length of your hair. Rub the warmed coconut oil into your scalp and hair for five minutes. Leave the mixture on overnight, wrapped in a towel if you wish. Wash it out in the morning.

4. Raw Honey

Take raw honey and dilute it with a small amount of water (90% honey, 10% water.) Wet your scalp and hair. Rub the mixture of water and honey into your scalp for three to five minutes and then allow it to rest for a couple of hours before rinsing it out with warm water.

5. Neem Leaf Extracts

Neem extracts are powerful leaves that can remove all types of unwanted pathogens from the body. To use for dandruff, boil a few neem leaves in water for a couple of minutes. Then, use the extract to wash your hair while you massage it into your scalp. Wash out with warm water.

6. Baking Soda

Simply add baking soda (a good quality brand) to your normal shampoo and then use it as you normally would. You may also mix baking soda and apple cider vinegar together to make a paste and then apply the paste to your scalp. Rinse off with warm water.

7. Lemon

Apply undiluted lemon juice to your scalp and allow it to sit for 35-40 minutes. You can even use a lemon-water, lemon-honey combination. After it sits, rinse it off well with warm water.
