Our furry friends are our most beloved and loyal companions. We grow so attached to them that they almost morph into a part of us. The late Linda Hart Williams can attest to this.

Williams, the owner of a sweet poodle mix named Milo, lost her dog six years ago. The whole family was devastated to learn that the pup had gone missing.

With Milo so far from home, Williams couldn’t bear the thought of her precious pooch being abandoned on the streets. As the years progressed and there was still no sign of Milo, everyone’s hopes were dashed.

Everyone, that is, except for Williams’. Unfortunately, Williams lost her battle to cancer before she could reunite with Milo. Williams’ daughter, Monica Hart, claims her mother had an instant connection with Milo the day she adopted him.

A few days before Williams passed away, Hart was by her bedside recounting stories of Milo. Though cancer had taken Williams’ health, it hadn’t robbed her of hope.

Hart reveals that her mother had an inkling Milo would be returning home soon. Her conviction was inspiring.

A short while after Williams passed, Hart received a letter from the Town of Hempstead Animal Shelter. Hart and the rest of her family were over the moon to learn that Milo had been rescued!

Thanks to the microchip in Milo’s arm, the shelter was able to contact Hart. The tearful reunion moved everyone at the shelter.

Milo is back at home where he belongs, and Hart will be sure to keep a watchful eye on him.
