With so much talent blooming all over the world, it's no surprise that talent shows of all kinds are popular on television. "America's Got Talent" is a talent competition show that has been airing since 2006. With over 380 episodes, the show features hopeful contestants who are all competing for the winning prize of $1 million. From singers to dancers to magicians, "AGT" allows a wide variety of acts to compete on the show. The British version of the series followed the American one's debut shortly after in June 2007. Susan Boyle was one of the most famous winners to come from the "Got Talent" series as a whole, as she stunned audiences with her brilliantly beautiful voice. The series was named the world's most successful reality TV format by Guinness World Records in 2014, as it had spin-offs in more than 68 countries at the time.

While there have been many different judges throughout the seasons, one constant — and the show's creator — is the infamous tough judge, Simon Cowell. Known for his harsh critiques, even Cowell can be impressed if a contestant's act is good enough quality.

In an episode back from season 13, a little girl with a powerful voice totally surprised Cowell with her remarkable talent. Although she looked sweet, the cuteness was not the only thing that the little girl dressed in pink had going for her. The little girl, named Sophie Fatu, shocked all four judges of "America's Got Talent" and left the audience screaming in awe in this incredible video from 2018 that took the internet by storm.

When Sophie took to the stage, even Cowell appeared impressed. The talent judge, who is notorious for his signature line "I don't mean to be rude, but…" (also the title of his book, by the way), has been on the panel countless times. For auditions that do not go so well, Cowell has never shied away from giving his most honest feedback. Some of his most brutal quotes ever documented include: "There is as much chance of you being a pop star or a rock star as me flying to the moon tomorrow morning for breakfast. It's never going to happen," and "If the judging criteria or the voting criteria here was to vote people through for managing to sing every note out of tune, you would win tonight."

However, despite Cowell's tough demeanor, little Sophie was able to charm him with not only her sweet appearance but also her incredible talent. She may seem just like another adorable face, but the young girl packed some serious vocal skills behind that sweet smile. In fact, her appearance on “America’s Got Talent” was not even Sophie's first time on stage.

Described as "one of the youngest jazz recording artists" in history, Sophie has appeared on NBC's "Little Big Shots," and "The Ellen DeGeneres Show," where she performed a rendition of "Fly Me To The Moon" by Frank Sinatra. Naturally, "America's Got Talent" was next in her sights. The moment Sophie waddled onto the stage in her pink outfit and greeted the judges and audience, everyone melted at her adorable speaking voice. Not one person there was prepared for how cute Sophie was – not even Cowell, a notoriously hard judge, who broke out in laughter at her entrance. But when Sophie began to sing, those expectations changed.

In the video, the young girl opened with a powerful rendition of "My Way" by Sinatra, raising her hands with the lyrics and performing it like she was ages older. The song has lots of long sustained notes and big belting moments; it's a surprise that Sophie chose the song in the first place. The audience roared and cheered while the judges sat with their mouths wide open at what they were witnessing. Sophie held notes like a pro and conducted herself like an opera singer. No one thought a girl her age could do something as incredible as that! It was as if her voice had many more years than she herself has! In the end, Sophie garnered the approval of all four judges to move on to round two. Her mother, Victoria Fatu – an award-winning musician with her own popular YouTube channel and following – looked as proud as any parent could be when they both walked backstage.

The now 10-year-old Sophie has only gone from strength to strength since her “America’s Got Talent” appearance. She counts more than 444,000 followers on her YouTube channel, which features her and members of her family, including her sister and brother, as they go about their lives. She also has upwards of 104,000 followers on Instagram. The talented child has also ventured into acting, with minor parts in shows such as “Will & Grace,” “Goliath” and “Hacks.” Her debut EP, titled “Love Is…” is available for purchase and is described as a “passionate homage to the vocal legends who influenced her early career and a love letter to her fans” on her website. With all that already under her belt at the tender age of 10, we know Sophie will reach even bigger heights in the future!
