Living Without Abundance

Scarcity is a mindset we’ve come to identify as it relates to the way you see the world. It comes from believing that what you have isn’t enough. The truth is that you likely can afford to take a few days off from work, but there are pressures; the things you believe you have to live up to are holding you back. These challenges stem from identity. You have to be able to define yourself without success and then be happy with that image. You’ll then find that success comes to you at greater lengths as you realize the amazing reality around you at all times. Win or lose, you’ll appreciate each moment.

Reflecting Self Doubt

We only doubt ourselves when we feel defeated. Let’s say, however, that we’re all on an even playing field. What would possibly push you to the point of disbelieving in yourself? It’s easy to push ourselves too far in attempt to pursue what we see as a path to success. The reality is that success is a mindset. As soon as you enable negativity to creep in, whatever promise or reward you had gets diminished. It’s then easy to believe that “we can’t” when we’ve gone beyond the limits of our own capacity. The answer here is to not compromise who you know you are in attempt to achieve something beyond realistic means.

Misunderstanding Accountability

The success of others invites us into a common mistake we all make. It’s hard not to compare yourself to your neighbor, but the realities of life are simply too complicated to judge someone for their success against yours. Don’t find yourself blaming everything else except yourself.

Habits And Good Intentions Gone Wrong

The habits that make us stumble the most are often those we begin with good intentions. It might seem wise to use all of your nights to study until you burnout and have nothing left. It might seem wise to take on a project alone though someone offered the help you didn’t accept. These things come back to haunt us, and they’re worst when ingrained in our habits.

Balance is key to identifying when you’re overtaxing yourself.

We look at our emotions as a means to an end. It’s not entirely the fault of your environment if you feel a little on edge. It could instead be a direct result of what you’ve been doing.

You have to recognize this by being aware of your emotions and then adjusting to find the right balance. The race for more possessions and a public status could be the cause of your emotions going astray. Be honest enough to identify these and adjust accordingly.

Hold yourself accountable to your failures, but be realistic about the goals you set. Separate who you know you are from what you think is expected of you. There’s an amazing world here before your eyes, but you must release your mind from the identity that possessions can create in you. You’ll then realize an amazing opportunity for success.
