5 Everyday Habits That Reveal Something Interesting About Your Personality

Mar 06, 2018 by apost team

Everyone has their own habits and preferences that make up their everyday rituals. But what we consider quite normal has been studied and analyzed by scientists, who found that our habits reveal certain parts of our personalities that we try to keep hidden.

Keep reading to see if any of your habits reveal something juicy about your personality!

Only Eating Organic Food

Most people who eat organic food are not only extremely conscious of what they put in their bodies, but notice the eating habits (and most other habits) of others as well. It takes effort to eat correctly and educate yourself about nutrition, so an organic eater may come off as "preachy" when they're trying to talk to you about how you can improve your lunch. You can either take their advice (most likely they've done their research) or just ignore it.

Going To Tanning Booths

People who enjoy going to tanning booths tend to have an addictive personality, meaning they get sucked into habits fast. Scientists say that the desire to tan under artificial sunlight has been linked to other addictions, like alcohol and smoking. Frequent tanners are also most likely to suffer from Seasonal Affective Disorder, which is a type of depression that comes and goes with the seasons.

Taking A Cold Shower

Scientists claim that the more time a person spends in a warm shower, the lonelier they feel since they are trying to emulate physical warmth with an increase in temperature. People who enjoy cold showers tend to be more stubborn, resistant to change, and silently disapproving of other's opinions. They will listen to what you have to say, but they won't always agree.

E-Mails

The state of your inbox can tell a lot about your personality!

Someone with a well-sorted and up-to-date inbox who responds immediately to messages likes to keep things under control.

If the person rarely deletes messages and holds onto things that don't seem particularly important, then they may be a perfectionist who keeps things "just in case."

People who leave a lot of messages unread and rarely checks their email tend to be more intelligent. They do not see the need to read messages that are of little use or interest to them.

Consuming Bitter Foods

A recent study found that people who enjoy bitter foods and prefer to drink their coffee black tend to be less sympathetic and more selfish. The study participants showcased narcissistic tendencies and less emotional stability and often preferred vinegar and radishes over chocolate cake and bacon.
