We have all dealt with annoying skin conditions like skin tags, moles, warts, age spots, and clogged pores. It’s possible to deal with these at home without having to buy expensive products. Read on for natural strategies to deal with these five common skin problems.

1. Skin Tags

A skin tag is a small growth that appears where skin is rubbing together. Here are a few natural ways to get rid of them.

Apple Cider Vinegar: Using a cotton ball, blot the skin tag with apple cider vinegar. As time goes by, it will get darker and fall off.

Castor Oil: Mix castor oil and baking soda into a paste. Apply this to your skin tag and cover it with an adhesive bandage for 2 days.

2. Moles

While most moles can’t be removed with at-home remedies, there’s no harm in trying! You may be able to lighten the appearance.

Garlic: First cover the skin around the mole with petroleum jelly. Then rub garlic on the mole. Cover it with an adhesive bandage and let it sit for at least 3 hours.

You can also try the apple cider vinegar and castor oil methods described above.

3. Warts

Warts are caused by a virus called HPV. At the doctor’s office, you can have them frozen off, but try these at-home remedies first.

Honey: Rub some honey on the warts before bedtime and cover when an adhesive bandage. The honey and bandage will help your wart soften and fall off.

Banana: Rub a banana peel on warts before going to sleep. Repeat for 2 weeks.

Apple cider vinegar: Soak a cotton ball in apple cider vinegar, apply it to the wart, cover it with a bandage, and leave it until the morning. Replace with a new cotton pad until wart softens and falls off.

4. Age Spots

Age spots are caused by too much sun exposure. They are also caused by the liver as people age. Here is a natural remedy:

Horseradish: Cut horseradish with vinegar. Rub this mixture on the age spots. Rinse after 10 minutes and be careful not to get this in your eyes.

5. Blackheads and Clogged Pores

Clogged pores are caused by too much dirt or oil building up on the skin. Use these natural remedies to help clear them up.

Lemon Sugar Scrub: Mix lemon juice and sugar together and use these to gently scrub your skin.

Steaming: Steam your face over a pot of hot water for 15 minutes. Wipe your face with apple cider vinegar when you are done.
