4-Year-Old Twins Perform "The Nutcracker" On Ice And It's Impossible To Hide Admiration For Their Skating

Ice skating is a skill that few of us possess. Often, those of us who try to ice skate find that we spend more time on our backsides than actually making our way across the ice on our skates! But, if skating is an art, then these twins are aspiring artists. Thanks to their skills, Katarina and Dakota found themselves becoming internet sensations before they even started school!

It all started in 2008 when the pair of youngers were four-years-old. The footage involves Katarina and Dakota arrayed in their finest, performing a version of “The Nutcracker” on ice.

In the video, Dakota is dressed in a red and white officer’s uniform while Katarina is wearing a pretty white dress.

The two youngsters float across the ice, performing moves that are far too advanced for their preschool age.

Katarina steals the show at the end of the clip when she wraps her arm around her brother’s shoulders, raises a hand, and tilts back her head full of curly hair. How could you ask for anything cuter?

While some of their moves are a bit clumsy in the film, it’s easy to see that they were born to have a long life of skating on the ice. And, sure enough, that is exactly what they are still doing now!

Twelve years later, the twins are both teenagers and they both still enjoy lacing up their skates and taking to the ice. Katarina, in particular, loves to skate and has become a professional figure skater. This talented young woman is currently a member of the American figure skating team!

On Katarina’s Instagram page, it is easy to see that figure skating is a tremendous part of her life. More recent video clips of her prove that her moves have improved and that the childish clumsiness is certainly a thing of the past!

Both kids are still great looking, having gown into a beautiful young lady and a handsome young man. We would love to see them perform together once again.

No matter how far this duo goes in life or how much they advance their careers, we can all enjoy the fact that we first knew them as adorable preschoolers trying out the ice!
