4-Year-Old Boy Survives Hit-And-Run Against All Odds After Being Dragged Down The Street

Jennifer Moore went through every parent's worst nightmare. The Florida mom waited like she usually did at the bus stop to pick up her son, Joseph. But her son never came down the bus steps.

According to what she told WFLA, Jennifer was waiting at the bus stop like she was supposed to. “His bus came and he never got off the bus.” She asked the driver what had happened. The driver remembered that Joseph had gotten off at the previous stop. 

Jennifer hurried there immediately. What she found there was devastating. Her four-year-old son was lying motionless in the street. A crowd had formed around him.

Joseph had gotten off the bus at the wrong stop that day. He remembered crossing the street after looking both left and right. At first, he didn't see anything, but as he got to the middle of the road, a blue pickup truck approached.

“He tried to run the rest of the way across the street. He said, ‘Mommy, it didn’t slow down and it knocked me over and dragged me on the ground and then I fell asleep,” Moore told WLFA.

Apparently, the truck hit the little boy and then continued to drag him down the street for several feet. The truck sped off without ever stopping. The driver still hasn't been apprehended. Joseph survived miraculously, but he was injured and required hospitalization. Jennifer is furious about what happened and wants justice for her child.

“They’re a coward, they’re an animal," she told WLFA. "They have no regards for the human race, period ... To be able to run over a child, a small child, there’s no reason for it."
