4-Year-Old Boy Calls The Police For Help After Heeding His Mom’s Advice

Most 911 operators are considered modern-day heroes as they always respond to emergencies and dispatch people to help out those who are in need. However, one employee encountered a call one day that he didn’t expect.

In a viral video posted on YouTube in 2010, a 4-year-old boy named Johnny was having problems with his assignment, so he did what his mother told him to do: ask for help from other people.

He dialed 911, and a dispatcher answered. At first, the man on the other line thought the kid needed help with his “mouth,” but the young kid insisted that it was “math” that needed to be resolved.

“Will you help me?” the voice of a young kid asked the grown man, but the dispatcher told him he couldn’t do it but he could send someone else to help him.

Johnny later revealed that he had to do the "take aways,” and the first question was “16 take away 8.”

The dispatcher didn’t give him an answer and asked him what he thought the correct answer was, to which he replied, “I don’t know, 1.”

The operator later asked if there was another problem because the first one was “a tough one,” to which the little boy said, “5 take away 5.” The man did what he had done the first time, which was to ask him about his thoughts instead of giving him the correct answer.

As the kid answered “5,” the voice of a woman, who seemed to be his mother, could be heard in the background.

“Johnny, what are you doing?!” the mom said while screaming. The young boy was unbothered as he answered the woman, “the policeman is helping me with my math.”

It seemed like the mom had warned her son before about using the phone as she said, “What did I tell you about going on the phone?”

Johnny later answered what his mom had told him in the past, as he said, “You said if I need help to call somebody.”

In the end, the woman said she didn’t mean that her son should call the police. The audio was then cut, and it was unclear if Johnny had the answers to his math.

After the video was posted, online users took to the comment section to share their thoughts and hilarious reactions about the recorded call.

“I dont know but the operator was so chilled and helpful 😂😂,” one wrote. “Plot twist =the operator really didn't know the answer's it was a tough one for him too 😂,” one joked.

“Imagine having a call like this at such a stressful job. The mans mood must have been enlightened!! The kid is such a sweetie😂❤️,” one commented. “I really love the courage of the child, the patience and greatness of the operator and the reaction of the mother,” one wrote.

Another one pointed out the worst thing about the call, as they wrote, “The worst thing is, he didn't help him with that math in the end.” “As a mom, grandma, & former 911 dispatcher, that's adorable!” one commented.
