1. Crunches with Legs Elevated

This exercise is quite simple and can be performed at home, or within the gym. You simply lay down as if you are going to do a normal crunch. You will then raise your legs off the ground. You should then raise your legs and bend them at the knees.

2. Knee Tucks

This exercise can be performed either while sitting in a chair or sitting on a bench. You will raise your knees toward your chest slowly which will engage your core. Do not let your feet touch the ground during each rep and try not to use your hands on the chair or the bench.

3. Leg Raises

Leg raises can be performed laying down on the ground or when you are on a bench as well. To perform a leg raise, begin laying down with your legs straight and slightly off of the ground. Then raise your legs until your feet and legs are pointing nearly straight up. Then slowly lower your legs to the starting position.

4. Scissor Kick

A scissor kick is quite similar to a leg raise but will engage your core more constantly. You should be laying down to perform this exercise and have your legs straight and slightly off of the ground. Next, lift one of your legs up to about of 45-degree angle and then bring it back down immediately. As you bring down one of your legs, begin bringing up the other leg to a 45-degree angle. Your legs should be alternating going up and down. Perform this exercise for 30-60 seconds.
