Dancing was one of the things which Kimberly Nguyen knew she wanted to do. Although she had been diagnosed with cancer and was undergoing chemotherapy treatments, Kimberly didn't let her tough situation stop her from dancing. The 27-year-old's skilled dance moves were captured by her boyfriend. She can be seen spinning and dipping around her hospital room while receiving her treatments.

In an interview with Inside Edition, the Washington state local said that dancing was something she really wanted to do ever since she started chemotherapy.

Everything started just a month before Kimberly's birthday during the summertime. Scans showed that she was suffering from non-Hodgkin's lymphoma. This aggressive and rare cancer requires multiple rounds of chemo.

“You really don’t think it’s going to happen to you. Especially in your 20s, you’re like, ‘I’m totally fine,'" said Kimberly to Inside Edition. Kimberly said that the news came "out of nowhere."

The diagnosis turned Kimberly's life upside down. The weekends which she used to spend with friends and her significant other were transformed into weekends spent in bed binge-watching TV to pass the time.

Kimberly has also been forced to put her positions at nursing school and a dental office on hold. She can return when the treatments are finished.

Kimberly reports that she's been feeling nauseous and fatigued lately. Unfortunately, she's also anemic, which means she can get lightheaded quite easily.

Kimberly says that she sometimes still feels like she's "normal." She thought that she could still perform normal errands and activities "without any hesitations." Unfortunately, she's come to realize that she can't do much of that anymore.

Despite her difficult situation, Kimberly has chosen to look on the bright side. She has been sharing her journey through social media. She documents each moment from updates about chemo treatment to her dancing escapades around her hospital room.

Yong, Kimberly's boyfriend, said that his girlfriend is a "goofball." He said that it's important to look at the best side of things and to be around positive energy.

According to Yoong, he wanted to capture the dancing on camera to prove to the world how powerful a positive attitude can be. Kimberly agreed about the importance of a positive outlook and energy. She said that it's important to look forward to your future and to "dance a lot".
