Never take pictures of other people at parties. You don’t know what they want to be made public on social media. They could be spending time with someone that they shouldn’t be. If you are running late to an event, then try not to draw any attention to yourself when you get there. Take a seat in the back of the room. Slowly sneak your way through the door without making a big commotion.

Responding with a single word through text can be completely disrespectful on the receiving end. You never know how some emotionally driven individual might feel about how you are speaking to them. Always be clear with complete sentences. You never know when it will save you a ton of trouble.

Just cut your phone off during events. It’s rude to intercept a nice night with random phone calls. Vibrating phones are annoying too. Checking texts during a presentation is like poisoning your your own ego.

Store your overhead luggage as quickly as possible when boarding a plane. You want to get out of everyone’s way as quickly as possible. The same thing goes for disembarking. You should patiently wait your turn as the rows in front of you leave the plane. Stay out of the way as much as possible.

Pulling out a chair seems like a good idea. It’s not when you don’t know the appropriate space that a person needs. Obese guests might take offense to a common courtesy. It’s ridiculous, but it can happen. People are so easily offended that you may cause trouble by simply trying to be polite.

Make sure that no one else can hear your playlist when you use headphones. It makes you look like a jerk. Check to see if they are completely plugged in. Keep the volume low too.
