Some stories come filled with caution for young persons. When you are in your 20's, you may think believe in the invulnerability of youth. The human body, however, is made of flesh and blood, and it has its limits. A 24-year-old model discovered this the hard way after a tattooing mishap.

According to news.co.au, the young model made a name for herself as the Blue-Eyed White Dragon, as she had over $26,000 of tattoo work performed. Adding more tattoos becomes a choice for those who fully embrace body art.

Traditional tattoos don't usually come with many risks. As long as the tattoo artist adheres to acceptable levels of safety, things should go well. Amber Luke, however, decided to have her eyeballs tattooed. She wanted the whites of her eyes colored blue via tattoo ink.

When the needle entered her eyeball, Luke said the feeling was akin to multiple shards of glass entering the eye. The physical pain wasn't the only shock she had to endure. The tattoo procedure took her eyesight away.

Mercifully, the loss of vision lasted only three weeks. Her sight returned, and, so far, no signs exist of permanent damage.

Amber Luke is lucky. She probably realizes how lucky she is since she now swears off extreme body modifications and risky tattoos. She does plan on getting more tattoos, but they'll be of the "more typical" variety.

At least Amber Luke's tale had a positive outcome, and she regained her sight. Regardless, her story serves as a warning. What do you think about Amber's look? Let us know in the comments - and make sure you pass this along to your friends and family!
