2-Year-Old Walks Up To Line Of U.S. Troops To Shake Soldiers' Hands

Our military puts their lives on the line for us every day. They think selflessly and defend our nation from a variety of threats. We know that we should probably find more ways to say thank you than just enjoying the freedoms that they fight so hard to protect.
One two-year-old already seemed to know how important it is to thank our troops for all the hard work they do and the sacrifices they make on a daily basis. He found a way to show it in front of thousands of people. Sawyer Frederick is just two years old. According to ABC News, his dad is an assistant coach for the University of North Carolina’s Men’s Basketball team.

The team made the Final Four and traveled to Houston to play their first-round game. The whole Frederick family traveled along to watch the game and support the team. Members of the United States military were invited to attend the game and be honored during the National Anthem. After the National Anthem was finished, people lined up to shake hands with the members of the military that were in attendance.
Two-year-old Sawyer watched his older brother in the line and he then saw his brother walk down the line of soldiers and shake hands and share a “thank you” with each individual soldier.
That's when Sawyer walked away from his mom and walked up to each soldier and shook their hands. At just two years of age, Sawyer may not have understood exactly what he was doing, but it was clear from the look on the soldiers’ faces that the gesture meant a great deal to them.
Sawyer’s mom, Jocelyn, managed to capture the precious moment on camera and, no surprise, the video went viral on social media almost immediately.
Watch the video and pass it along to anyone you know who would appreciate this heartwarming moment.
