Kids do and say the darndest things as they grow up. The internet is full of adorable pics and videos that prove it. A two-year-old North Carolina tot has taken things to a whole new level of cuteness in a video shared by his mom.

Little Sawyer Frederick's father is an assistant coach for the University of North Carolina men's basketball team. The team had a big game in Houston for the Final Four, and the Frederick family traveled there to support them.

When they landed in Houston, Sawyer spotted men and women from the United States military on the tarmac. As the troops stood there with their U.S. flags, Sawyer's older brother approached them and shook a few of their hands.

What happened next was absolutely adorable. Sawyer decided he wanted to do it too. The little boy went up to each troop and offered a hand. The men and women couldn't help but smile as they reached out or crouched down to take his hand in theirs and give it a good shake.

He might be too little now to understand how special what he did is, but those troops and everyone who witnessed his actions definitely appreciated it. What makes this even more special is that Sawyer comes from a military family. His grandfather and great-grandfather both served.
