18-Year-Old Who Grew Up Homeless Designs A Prom Dress For His Date And Gets Invited To Talk Show

Jimelle Levon has had all of the reasons in the world to give up. Yet he never has.

The 18-year-old young man has already faced challenges that many will never face in their entire lifetime. Somehow, he always manages to persevere.

When he was only 10 years old, Jimelle and his mother became homeless. From there, they were forced to bounce around from shelter to shelter.

Despite all of the challenges, Jimelle never gave up on his dreams. At the young age of 14, he learned how to sew with great precision and creativity. When he was nearing his high school graduation date last year, he decided that the was going make a prom dress for his date.

Along with the dress, he also made a suit for himself to match his date's gown. He shared the photos of his creations and the story quickly went viral. Talk show host Steve Harvey was so impressed that he even invited him onto his program.

Jimelle is now attending Clark Atlanta University on a full-time basis while also running his own fashion company. He sells each of his handmade gowns for up to $450.

His business has grown so popular that he even has a waiting list for his dresses. He says that it is challenging to keep up with his school and still churn out the gowns.
