17-Year-Old Dies From Stroke After Girlfriend Gives Him Hickeys

No one ever saw it coming. A teenager died in an unexpected incident in Mexico City after he spent a night with his girlfriend. The cause? Hickeys on his body from a night of passion.

Julio Macias Gonzalez, 17, began to convulse during dinner with his family. This happened after the teenager had spent the evening with his girlfriend, who was 24-years-old. 

Julio’s family called for emergency services right away. But unfortunately, it was too late. Julio died before he could even make it to the hospital. There was no time to save him. 

According to the hospital reports, Julio passed away after having a stroke. The doctors in the hospital believe that the stroke was caused by the love bites, or hickeys, his girlfriend gave him the night before. They think that the hickeys actually caused a blood clot that traveled to his brain, killing him. 

The family of the young boy believes that the girlfriend is 100% to blame for the death of their son. According to the Mexican media, she immediately hid from family and press right after learning the tragic news. 

Julio’s parents stated that they in no way agreed with the relationship between their son and his girlfriend because of the difference in age. However, the young man was in love and would not end their relationship. It's so unfortunate that this relationship would lead to his tragic death. 

CBS New York published a video report revolving around the idea that getting a love bite could cause a stroke and death. A love bite, or hickey, is simply what happens when someone sucks on another person’s skin. 

It is possible for blood vessels to break when there is suction on the skin. But it is extremely rare for this to lead to a blood clot. 

It is very rare for this chain of events to occur. However, even though it is uncommon, it is worth remembering that it never hurts to be careful. 

You will also get hickeys more frequently if you are suffering from an iron deficiency.
