16-Year-Old Schoolboy Aker Apologizes To Prince Harry For "Cuddling" Meghan Markle

During Meghan Markle's appearance at his school, Robert Clack Upper School in Dagenham, Essex in the UK, head boy Aker Okoye, 16, seemed to have kissed the Duchess of Sussex on the cheek. He then later wrote a light-hearted apology to Prince Harry for "cuddling with [his] wife," saying he was simply "overwhelmed and shocked" to see Duchess Meghan at his school for International Women's Day on Friday.

Head boy Aker Okoye received loud applause as he embraced the Duchess of Sussex on stage as she visited his east London high school on Friday for International Women's Day. The 16-year-old head schoolboy hugged Markle and even kissed her on the cheek. Now, according to The Sun, teenager Aker has written a letter to Prince Harry to light-heartedly apologize for "cuddling with [Prince Harry's] wife."

After appearing to have stolen a peck on the cheek from Meghan, Aker said into the microphone on stage, "she really is beautiful, innit?" The teenager revealed in his letter to Meghan and Harry that he almost met Harry "last year when [Harry] came to east London to open the future youth zone but [Aker] was away with school."

Addressing Harry, Aker wrote:

"I hope to meet you one day."

Aker told The Sun that he's "written the letter to make sure Harry doesn't make a problem with it and to say sorry really." Aker continued:

"I hope he didn't mind. Meghan didn't–she found it funny and I'm sure Harry will as well. When she asked which brave young man wanted to do a talk I jumped at the chance. I leapt up there I thought it would be proper protocol to give her a cuddle. It's all a blur. The whole crowd erupted...I was overwhelmed to get the chance to speak in front of someone so famous and important. I just wanted to grab the opportunity...It was the best day of my life so far."

The school visit was Meghan's last solo appearance as a working royal before she and Harry step down from their working royal duties officially starting on April 1st.
