A man in a wheelchair now calls a brave teenage boy his hero.

Gregory Beck is a double-amputee who is bound to his wheelchair. In addition to not having the use of his legs, Beck is also legally blind.

The man was on his way home from the grocery store recently when a tornado began barreling toward his home in St. Louis, Missouri.

As sirens wailed around him, Beck hurriedly attempted to get home so that he could take cover from the approaching twister. The trip from the grocery store normally takes about 25 minutes, but that includes stops to rest his tired arms.

With the tornado rapidly approaching, motorists were stopping to warn Beck that he needed to hurry. However, nobody stopped to help.

Until 16-year-old Seth Phillips came upon the scene of the elderly man scrambling to make it home in his wheelchair.

Phillips told his mother, Amber, to stop the car so he that he could get out and push the man to safety. Amber used her phone to record her son's heroic actions in helping to get Beck home before disaster struck.

Now you can watch this harrowing video of escape for yourself. Phillips proved that today's youth do not think only of themselves. The heroics of this young man certainly made a difference. Still, he remained completely humble about it. His only complaint was: “We live in a world where people would rather fly by and honk at a disabled person than to lend a hand.”

It did not take long for this video to go viral. The unselfish actions of this teenage boy should be celebrated by everyone. Be sure to spread the joy to everyone in your social circle.
