16-Year-Old Ballerina With No Arms Confirms Each Dream Is Attainable

Jan 18, 2021 by apost team

Lots of people come up with the flimsiest excuses as to why they cannot achieve their goals but that is not the case for this amazing young girl. Vitoria Buono Boche is a 16-year-old ballerina from Brazil but unlike most dancers, she does not have hands. The extraordinarily talented young girl does not limit her capabilities. She is widely known for her dancing prowess in contemporary dance, tap, and jazz at the Academia Andrea Falsarella studio in Santa Rita do Sapucai. Vitoria has accomplished great success in the dance industry that other upcoming artists aspire to reach. Her physical disabilities and young age have not deterred her from rising to the top of her game.

Her Talent

Vitoria’s lack of arms does not make her stick out from the group when they are performing. On the contrary, she blends in with the other dancers so seamlessly, you would think she has been specifically programmed for the role. A video of her dancing in “Alice in Wonderland” back in 2018 shows just how effortlessly talented she is. Very much so that she is dancing on the front line!

Vitoria Buono, fondly known as Vih, is a warm ray of sunshine. All her performances feature her signature bright smile that is guaranteed to cheer you up. Besides dancing, Vih has learned to live her life independently and can do everything her peers can without her hands. If anything, Vitoria is living proof that you do not need to look like everybody else to be independent.

Her exciting dance videos and how-to procedures have seen her gain more than 48,000 followers on her Instagram page. Vitoria continues to be an inspiration to many teenagers and people with physical differences like her. She recently posted a video doing her makeup to perfection using only her feet and her followers seemed to be in awe of it. If this video of her putting on her makeup with her feet is anything to go by, Vih is a pretty good content creator too.

Vitoria’s ability to shine through her disability has put her on headlines time and again. She has also received tons of recognition and awards for her dancing prowess, including some from the coveted Royal Academy of Dance in London. The dance school Vitoria attends is approved by the Royal Academy of Dance in Brazil.

Vih received a gold medal from the Royal Academy of Dance in Brazil in October 2019. This was recognition for having passed the RAD level 2 examination with an impressive distinction. The young star took to Instagram to express her excitement at yet another accomplishment in her budding career.

Determination

Vitoria is as determined to live a normal independent life as her fellow teenagers. She is very active on social media and has not let her uniqueness deter her from doing the things that she loves. Dance is clearly her passion and number one interest.

Her Instagram page is rife with pictures and videos of her outstanding performances with occasional sneak peeks into her personal life. Her determination to establish herself as a force to reckon with in dance despite her handicap is truly remarkable.

Overcoming Challenges

Vih uses her social media platform to spread words of kindness to her fans and followers with quotes such as, “If you tire, learn to rest, not to give up,” and other words of gratitude and encouragement for the people that have stood by her and supported her throughout her journey.

Although Vitoria’s talent and zeal propelled her to where she is now, she has had to overcome a lot of hardship. Most of her posts on Instagram are met with words of kindness and congratulations but the internet is crawling with bullies as well. It is not difficult to spot the mean things some followers say to her, but they do not appear to put her down at all. She has her eyes set on the prize and will stop at nothing to get it.

Inspiration

At 16, most teenagers out there are trying to find their footing in school and a good number of them haven’t even started to figure out what they want to do with their lives. That is far from the truth for Vitoria. She knew that her passion and talent lay in dancing and started pursuing it from an early age. Vih is currently doing exemplary things at her dance school and has even caught the attention of some significant players in the world of dance.

Isn't this inspirational? Most people fail to follow their dreams because they stand in their own way with negative and pessimistic thoughts. Vitoria's determination to overcome challenges is an inspiration to anyone who feels that they cannot accomplish their dreams because of their body appearance, disability, or even financial status.

Personal Life

Vitoria does not have any arms from her shoulders. It is unclear if she was born this way or not because she has yet to talk to any press about the issue. In fact, it is close to impossible for you to know that she is physically different without watching her videos or seeing her pictures. She has not been seen to talk about her handicap or refer to it in any way.

Vih's personal life is very guarded. We would all like to know more about her family background, siblings, and maybe even their input on her success in dance. However, they appear to be tucked away from the public eye. The sixteen-year-old dance star has chosen to present herself to the world as a dancer and nothing else. Her Instagram page is characterized by photos and videos of her dance performances, accolades, and activities going on in her school. Instead of focusing on what she has no control over, Vitoria portrays herself as a professional and growing brand.

Promising Career

Vitoria seems to be at the top of her dancing career, but she is only getting started. She has her entire life ahead of her and is already receiving recognitions from reputable institutions in the industry. You can expect to see more of this inspirational dancer that will stop at nothing to dance.  We have also seen her feature some sportswear Brazilian brands on her social media accounts. Vitoria is undoubtedly destined for great things and so is anyone brave enough to master her level of determination.

Vitoria has shown the entire world that achieving your dreams or even starting to work on them is not about what you have on the inside. It is about pushing yourself and encouraging yourself to be better every day.
