A 13-year-old boy from Portsmouth, NH, wrote his own song and found his way on to television's popular show "America's Got Talent." He was dressed conservatively in a double-breasted suit jacket and trousers, but when he opened his mouth to rap, the performer who calls himself "Patches" wowed both the panel of judges and the audience, and everyone went wild.

The teen sounded more like a mini Eminem hip-hop star, and the audience was into it, on their feet and clapping. The judges couldn't believe their ears and were fascinated by the boy's sophisticated rapping skills.

The boy was charming to talk with before he launched his hip-hop tune and very calm on stage. Judge Howie Mandel had asked "Patches" what he would buy with the prize money if he had won the competition show. As a matter of factly, he answered that he would purchase tickets to the Broadway hit show "Hamilton.

The audience laughed and applauded loudly, and the teen's father proudly stood backstage with host Tyra Banks nearby. Everyone seemed to be impressed with "Patches'" intelligence, wit and maturity.

When he began rapping, even sourpuss judge Simon Cowell's eyebrows raised in amazement. The words flowed like hip-hop royalty, and the original tune "Patches" wrote was about "the essence of performing," he told Howie Mandel.

Mandel was in awe and called the teen "amazing."

It was a most memorable performance because the audience felt the vibe and encouraged "Patches" to deliver a superb rap tune. They were following the hip-hop beat and enjoying the performance, never expecting to hear rap coming from the young teen's lips.

This is a must-see and must-hear video story that will bring a smile to your face and allow you to feel good inside.
